Cut from a brushed twill with a dry, slightly grainy surface. The fabric is dense enough to hold the pleats in place and warm enough for autumn and winter, with enough weight to fall straight from the hip instead of clinging.

The waistband sits at the natural waist and wraps to one side, closing with an angled pointed placket and a single button. A long double rope belt ties at the front, and a narrow second strap at the waistband repeats the same diagonal line. Two pleats open from the front waist and release into a wide leg that stays full all the way to the hem. The side seams are cut on a slight curve, so the leg reads rounded rather than boxy.
