Ana Hilgier - Flow in Every Connection

Ana is an actress, dancer and model from Poland. She moves freely across performance disciplines, integrating her skills to express authenticity and creativity. In this interview, she shares her insights on life balance, connection, and how movement and clothing shape her experience of the world.

INSIS : Could you share a side of yourself that people don’t usually see?

ANA : My name is Ana. I’m from Poland and I’ve been staying in China for three months. I work as an actress, dancer and model. I integrate skills and experiences from each field into my performance, using them to fulfill my creative and expressive needs.

INSIS : How do you maintain your rhythm and balance when life feels busy or overwhelming?

ANA : My life rhythm is always changing—sometimes slow and relaxed, sometimes fast and hectic. I have two dogs that keep me grounded and active. I push forward to pursue my goals, but I also take time to slow down, wander and feel the world around me. Balance is about both effort and ease.

INSIS : What does “connection” mean to you, especially in your creative life?

ANA : Connection is one of the most important parts of life. It’s the mutual response between you and another person or thing. It makes life fuller and more real—experiences become meaningful when shared with friends, loved ones or even strangers, and we see life from new perspectives.

INSIS : How does your understanding of space and movement inform your perspective on human connection.

ANA : As a dancer, connection means full focus and awareness, especially when working with partners. It’s not about showing myself, but about truly reacting to the energy from others. I absorb that energy, let it flow through my body, and express genuine feelings rather than just performing.

NSIS : How did you experience connection during this shoot?

ANA: During this collaboration, I felt deeply present and connected. I could sense that I was seen, and we exchanged real energy. It’s a powerful feeling that goes beyond individual performance—we stayed aware of each other, let the energy flow naturally, and created something together.

INSIS: How do you think clothing influences the way we feel, move, and connect with others?

ANA : To me, clothing deeply shapes my inner state and how I engage with the people around me. What I wear has to align with who I am and grant me unconstrained freedom of movement. When an outfit feels right—both physically comfortable and emotionally resonant—I naturally grow more confident, open, and receptive to the world around me. Garments are truly an extension of my body and my authentic self.
