Alanna Archibald - The Authentic Rhythm

Alanna Archilbald is a dancer, model and actress who brings intention, authenticity and presence to every creation project. Beyond the public image, she cares deeply about preparation, self-compassion and meaningful connection. In this exclusive interview, she shares her insights on life balance, creative connection, and how movement and clothing shape her experience of the world.

INSIS : Could you share a side of yourself that people don’t usually see?

ALANNA : I’m Alanna Archibald, a dancer, model and actress. People see my work on set, but they don’t see the careful preparation behind each day—the focus, excitement and awareness that go into making every moment count. This dedication brings me real joy, and it’s an essential part of who I am.

INSIS : How do you maintain your rhythm and balance when life feels busy or overwhelming?

ALANNA : I feel overwhelmed when I neglect rest and self-care. To stay balanced, I forgive myself for tiredness or frustration, and let things go. Bad days are unavoidable, but they pass quickly. I stay gentle with myself and trust that a better day is always ahead.

INSIS : What does “connection” mean to you, especially in your creative life?

ALANNA : To me, connection is trust, patience and acceptance of change. It includes the bond with myself, with others, and with the space around me. It’s about letting relationships grow naturally and communicating openly in every creative interaction.

INSIS : How does your understanding of space and movement inform your perspective on human connection.

ALANNA : Dance teaches me that connection comes from understanding and flexibility. As a freelance performer, I work in new spaces every day, so I’ve learned to stay present, adapt quickly, let go of expectations, and truly connect with my surroundings and partners.

NSIS : How did you experience connection during this shoot?

ALANNA: Ana and I shared a calm, similar energy. We’re both hardworking and observant, and we collaborated naturally. Communicating with our bodies and creating movement together made this collaboration deeply connected and present.

INSIS: How do you think clothing influences the way we feel, move, and connect with others?

ALANNA : Clothing strongly influences how I move, feel and express myself. Fabric, color and fit change my posture, energy and way of communicating. It’s a powerful tool that shapes how I show up and connect with the world.
